Wild West themed Murder Mystery

You’re in a small town called Eagle Ridge California  the year is 1850, over the last few years, the economy and population here has dwindled. Some of the civic leaders haven’t been taking care of their people, and these people have slowly been fleeing to neighboring towns, specifically “boomtowns”. A boomtown is a town that experiences rapid growth in a short period of time, this is usually where valuable resources are found, most of the time, it being gold. People want to be around valuable resources, this means opportunity for work, and of course the allure of getting rich quick.

According to some civic leaders and a senior prospector here at Eagle Ridge, news has spread that some of the prospectors are on the brink of finding a lot of gold in one of the local mines. If true, this would draw a lot of attention to Eagle Ridge, and would help regrow the population and solve the issues of the dying economy.
